KOBE V MJ Tribute My Heroes Pack

Written by J.J

The Kobe V’s are an excellent low top basketball shoe to wear on the court. I took some time and tweaked it with the nike id. What I am looking as is a Kobe Version of the Lebron Heroes pack. If you haven’t seen it I will send pics of it momentarily. I designed two versions. The first Version follows a similar colorway as the Lebron VII Heroes Pack. The second version involves the more traditional
Jordan retro 11 ( Varsity red). Enjoy and please send me some feedback. Cheers.

2010 Year of the Retro: Nike Air Go LWP

2010 Year of the Retro: Nike Air Go LWP

Written by J.J.
Before the Shox, the Hyperdunks, flywire technology, etc. There was the Nike Air Go LWP (Light Weight Performnace). The lightest basketball shoes out there back in 94′. Yes for the newbies, it’s just as light as the Hyperdunks.

Ladies and Gents, this is One Basketball shoe in the Waiting for all Ballers out there. It’s been 16 years in the waiting but The Nike Air Go LWP (Light Weight Performance) will make a return during the 2010 holiday season.

The Nike Air Go LWP was one of the first sneakers Penny Hardaway laced up in the NBA. Although this sneaker is a part of Penny’s signature sneaker line, it is mostly associated with him. I cannot be more excited than this. I played in my Nike Air Go’s till the soles were worn out and the air bubble popped due to the constant balling on the hot summer blacktop. With it’s resurgence this Christmas, it is one hot shoe for all the Ballers out there.

The Air Jordan 3 Retro White/Cement will also make a return in 2010.

A retro Air Jordan 3 surfaces annually for the past few years (”True Blue” Air Jordan 3 in 2009 & Air Jordan 3 Black/Cement Grey in 2008). However, we have not seen this particular colorway since it retroed in 2003. Additional rumors have circulated about this shoe being a part of an upcoming Air Jordan Slam Dunk Pack for 2010. Stay tune….and enjoy this classic commercial.

JORDAN XI – SPACE JAM CRAZE

GOOD SPACE LUCK JORDAN FANS.
Written by J.J.

So unlike the a lot of sneaker heads waiting to get a crack at their pair of retro Jordans XI Space jams, I decided to order my pair online at 12 am Eastern time which is about 9am Pacific time. Well, if you don’t get them first, you won’t get them. I’ve tried three sites, eastbay.com, champsports.com, finishline.com, and you can just see how jammed pack their websites are. You think you got them, then you get these screens. I hope for the best and check back an hour. But these shoes will be gone and Nike would have made another success story with Jordan Brand….Plan A didn’t Work.

This is plan B. Camping out at the Mall.

Good luck and Happy hunting.

SPACE JAMS 12-23-09

Posted in Kicks, Stylin' on December 12, 2009 by shotymeapparel

Written by J.J.
If you’re one Jordan Collector, then you know it is 3rd time around for the Air Jordan XI a.k.a Space Jams. The originals came out in 1996, following a retro version release in 2000. When December 23. 2009 rolls around, the Space Jams will be released a third time. The Air Jordan XI’s are by far the hottest Jordans around.

To generate more buzz, Nike chose to change the release date of the Space Jams. This has gotten more and more people anticipating it’s release.

“The Air Jordan XIs Retro Space Jams are going to be huge,” says Matt Halfhill, the 25-year-old founder and editor in chief of the sneaker blog NiceKicks.com, based in Austin, Texas.

The story starts in 1985, with the original Nike Air Jordan 1, Michael Jordan’s red-and-black, high-top basketball shoe whose color scheme earned them an NBA ban for violating the league’s uniform policy regulating colors. The NBA levied a fine against Jordan — who played on nonetheless– and a sneaker craze was born, with new, Roman-numeral-designated versions of the Air Jordan (AJ) shoe following just about every year.

NiceKicks.com’s Halfhill points out that the Air Jordan XI that was released in 1995 had sneaker collectors salivating not just for the way it looked — riffing on a tuxedo with a shiny, black patent leather strip undulating around the base of the white nylon upper, a white midsole and a clear outsole — but for what happened in those shoes.

“It’s the first shoe Jordan won a championship in after coming back from his first retirement,” Halfhill explained. “So that was a big deal. Also the Bulls went 72 and 10 [an NBA record] when he wore that shoe.” Jordan also notched his eighth scoring title and earned his fourth championship ring in the XIs.

Halfhill also points out that, in the era before high-definition television, widespread use of the Internet or DVRs, the shoe’s debut on May 7, 1995, in the Chicago Bulls’ conference semifinal game against the Orlando Magic was a complete — and hard to see — surprise. “You either saw it or you didn’t, and there was no information released by Nike, so people were talking about it around water coolers and at the barbershop the next day,” Halfhill says.
It’s the same two-word answer all over town: “Space Jams,” says Liz Sanchez, manager of the Holy Grail, a downtown L.A. consignment shop that caters to the high-end sneaker crowd. “They’re going to sell out for sure. And we’ll probably see some for sale in here shortly after that.”

“Oh, the Space Jams for sure,” concurs Tak Kato, the owner of the Blends boutique on 4th Street. “It will probably be crazy demand.”

Yes, many will be waiting for Santa Nike and his Bag of Air Jordan XI’s this Christmas. Are you going to be one of them?
