NBA DUNK CONTEST 2010: Aired Out

Written by J.J.

Well…We have all enjoyed great Dunk Contests the last three years…This year’s Dunk Contest was a little…Boring.
Let me take a stab at Why…
1. Over Hyped
2. Lebron James…Hyped it up with his “preliminary” speech but didn’t deliver

3. Superman Dwight Howard is still healing from last year’s Kryto-Nate Dunk
4. Shannon Brown, you disappointed me. At least do the 360 Dunk Statue of Liberty Dunk
5. With the line up, Nate was going to be in the finals regardless…
6. Derozan was the surprise of the night. The off the Backboard Windmill was nice. If he only thought of something
for that last Dunk….
7. Gerald Wallace…great Leaper, not the most Creative Dunker
8. Dunk Contests Needs Hype and Personality. Nate’s T.O Pom Pom pose was personality
9. The Slam Sprite Dunk Contest with the Streetball guys was way better (See previous entry)
10. If only “Air Up There” and Nate Robinson were in the Finals…..

Congrats Nate Robinson for being the first 3 time Dunk Champion.
This year, he didn’t need Kryptonite to help him out.

Winner of the Sprite Slam Dunk Competition should get an automatic bid to Challenge the NBA players in the SLAM DUNK COMPETITION period.
Taurian Fontenette who is also known as “Air up There” is the man who did the 720 Dunk. Yes, he spun twice in the air and completed a Dunk. He was seen And 1, Team Flight Brothers… he deserves all the recognition as the best Dunker for his display this weekend’s Sprite Slam Dunk Challenge 2010 in Dallas, Texas. If you have Lebron and everyone jumping out of your seats…. You can Dunk. enjoy

Here are some other Videos of Air up There. Enjoy.

2010 MVP: Lebron James Ahead of the Game

Written by J.J.

January began Solid as Kobe Made Headlines, games winners ,playing with a painful back, broken fingers, and a sprained ankle. He still made opposing times pay for his Black Mamba Game. The MVP race seemed to be all Kobe’s. But….

FEBBRUARY however, began another chapter, Lebron…Lebron…Lebron…Bringng the cavs to 12 straight wins and counting. The King, making big plays, scoring in bunches and claiming his Triple Doubles. Wins against Kobe’s Lakers (twice), and Air Jordan Heir, Dwyane Wade’s Heat, Lebron James is on top of the MVP race.
You’ve seen the King’s Greatness, 30 foot jumpshots and Step back 3’s… But have you seen 25 points in a quarter…35 in the first half…
Lebron James and the Cavs are winning. The Mid- season MVP is Lebron James.

Sunday capped the weekend with some amazing moments from tw o the greatest players playing today. Kobe Bryant and Lebron James. The Lakers played the Boston Celtics in a a physical game that felt like the NBA ” finals.” The game was decided in the last 1:20 minutes of regulation.

Kobe Bryant made a well contested jump shot that went in with 7 seconds left in regulation. Boston set of a well drawn play for Paul Pierce drive which led to a K.G. screen for a Ray Allen Three pointer. The play ran to perfection until the shot. Lamar Odom’s out stretch arm contested Allen’s shot which hit the front of the rim and bounced out. well played. Laker’s win.

Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers played the L.A. Clippers and the gmae was pretty much over after Cleveland scored a record 46 points. Lebron James shot 4 three pointers from 30 feet away. Enough said for that. Cleveland wins
Sorry no clip for Lebron’s 3 pointers. But if you saw the Game today, it was a lot like this…..

But this right here is the 46 points the Cav’s tallied versus the Clippers… in the first quarter.

The King’s Tantrum: Baby Lebron tossing cups
Written by J.J.

Okay, with the title mentioned, some fans would ask me if I am a Lebron Fan. I am a basketball fan. And yes I am a Lebron James fan. But his latest fine ($25,000) for his outburst is very deserving. Lebron, or should i say, baby Lebron…Chill out. It was a fall on the drive, but not a foul because the player was moving back. There was no contact.
Let it go. 1. You’re playing the Timberwolves. 2. You just made an ass of yourself smacking those cups. 3. You;re playing the Timberwolves…

Wahhhhhhh………..

Greg Oden… really come on buddy. We should all learn the importance of private pictures and the internet.

AP/Yahoo! Sports: “Blazers center Greg Oden(notes) is apologizing for nude photos that have surfaced on the internet. Oden says the pictures, taken with his cell phone and sent to a former girlfriend, were taken about 1 1/2 years ago. A friend told the 21-year-old Tuesday morning that the pictures were making the rounds on the internet. ‘I would like to apologize to everybody: Portland, the fans, the organization,’ Oden told reporters at the Blazers practice facility. ‘It was very embarrassing.’ Oden is out for this season after fracturing his left kneecap during a game against the Houston Rockets on Dec. 5. He averaged 11.1 points and 8.5 rebounds in 21 starts.”

I hear echos….We should all learn the importance of private pictures and the internet.
If you’re going to Play…Play Smart

Obama: “Six of those came with the Bulls.”
Written by J.J.
The Los Angeles Lakers Attended the White House and met with President Obama before there game today against the Washington Wizards. For those who don’t know, any NBA or NCCA team who has won the previous season’s Championship gets to visit the White house and meet the President of the United States. President Obama is from Southside Chicago and an avid Chicago Bulls Fans, and the Laker’s well…are from L.A. Enjoy the Speech. Especially at the 2:35 Mark. Enjoy.

“Six of those came with the Bulls.”
Just imagine the Chicago Bulls with Jordan taking a picture with President Obama.

Doin’ Work with Kobe’s V

Written By J.J.

The Nike Zoom Kobe V’s are Out at Footlockers. If you are anticipating another commercial, you are right. The MVPuppets are at it again, this time with the Kobe V’s burning up the house. I personally already have 3 pairs of Kobe 4’s and I’m playing in them. To match these shoes, I suggest picking up one of Sho’Tyme Apparel’s Doin’ Work 24 Shirt.

Subtle, message oriented, and when you turn to the back

….well…let’s just say the Shoes compliment the Shirt just as much as the Shirt compliments the Shoe. Check it out at http://www.ShoTymeApparel.com.

If these V’s are as good as they say. Go get them.

When Refs can’t Ref

Keep in mind, we are all human and we all make mistakes. Even when your profession is a referee.
Players argue with them, Coaches yell at them, fans curse and boo at them (when they officiate poorly of course).

Yes we all make mistakes, and yes, 17,000 poeple or more will be on your case if you f-up.

Yes referees have one of the hardest jobs.

Enjoy the clips.

Unless the refs are……
and…
Yes having a game reffed by the hottest super models will definitely be a great sporting event. Okay, anyone wanna
hire me???? I have a script and plot already for this. Get at me.
